The design of the new football shirt is inspired by the classic home kit of the 2002-03 season, which was the last time the Magpies appeared in the Champions League before returning to the Champions League in 2023.

The new Newcastle United football shirts features three striking black vertical stripes and a full-color club badge to show respect and inheritance of the club's history. The new kit incorporates modern elements based on the classic design, and is supplemented by adidas three stripes details from the shoulder to the collar. To better celebrate the club's glorious history, the club's classic Magpie badge reappears as a logo on the back of the collar, highlighting the city's enduring unity.

The iconic black and white color scheme has been retained, and it has been carefully designed to present the unique style of Newcastle United, evoking people's memories of the past and inspiring expectations for the future. The kit includes black shorts and socks with white NUFC logos, creating an aesthetic rooted in the club's tradition.

Last year, Newcastle United signed a multi-year partnership agreement with adidas, which will once again become the club's official kit supplier from the 2024-25 season. Previously, adidas provided the club with official match uniforms and training equipment from 1995 to 2010.

Nick Craggs, adidas Global Football General Manager, said: "The partnership between adidas and Newcastle United is iconic and we are delighted to unveil the home jersey for the upcoming season. Our previous collaboration has brought many memorable moments to the club and we look forward to creating these moments on and off the pitch again, bringing fans and players closer together this season."
