Liverpool Home Shirt 2024-2025，the new shirt where football and fashion
Nike and Liverpool FC jointly released the team's new Liverpool Home Shirt 2024-2025. The unique pattern is an innovative combination of styles and prints from the club's legendary 1984 shirt.
The retro design has been reinterpreted for the modern game, with the club's motto "YNWA" engraved into the chrome wireframe pattern on the surface of the shirt. The chic white collar features red and yellow details, a nod to the iconic collar worn by Joe Fagan's championship-winning team. That year, the team won the European Cup in Rome, creating a triple crown. The new season Liverpool shirt and shorts also feature yellow and white trim on the sides.
The shirt's high-performance technical fabric features Nike Dri-FIT ADV technology, a breathable FIT ADV weave that ensures sweat evaporates, helping players stay cool and lightweight and maintain their high level until the final whistle.
The host city of the 1984 final was also the source of inspiration for the creative launch video and photography of the new shirt where football and fashion elements complement each other, and the new jersey is perfectly integrated with Italian-style high fashion pieces and elegant shapes.
Using the Humming Chorus from Giacomo Puccini's opera "Madame Butterfly" as the background music, through the warm gray background, marble textured walls and columns and ornate furniture create an Italian classicism feel, with graphics from the new jersey also embellished among some of the bespoke props. Men's team captain Virgil van Dijk said: "I absolutely love our new kit for next season and am delighted that we have brought back the retro vibe. We are a club built on history , that 1984 team was one of the most successful in our history and I’m sure our fans will appreciate this tribute to the club’s legends.”
Women's vice-captain Taylor Hinds added: "The new shirt is very different and we can't wait to wear it. When you play in a shirt like this, the retro inspiration always gives you a feel for the club. Part of history stays with you.”
